I think most of us can safely bet
that our proclivities that actually do align with
the phrase
'mental illness'
were grown from seeds planted by
our parents
our society
our medications

I teach in a school. I haven't heard anyone even mention that the killer had autism here. All I have been hearing are things related to our security measures at school. I have heard people talk about gun control. The only places I have heard about the killer having autism is here on the WrongPlanet, news sites like CNN and Fox, and some blogs. And most of those have dismissed autism as the reason behind the tragedy. Most have blamed violent video games, guns in the house, and "evil" in the killer. Well...that's what I have been hearing where I live.

Seems ironic that one would say they are tired of Asperger's stereotypes but go on stereotyping other conditions...
