Who wants a fecal transplant?

I'd give it a try, but I'd want to find some way to preserve my own s**t in case I don't like being "cured".

Why would anyone transplant feces? Granted, I didn't actually read the article...

the whole idea sounds absolutely disgusting to me. I literally gag just thinking about moving stool from one person to another.

wonder if low fat high sugar diet is linked? - time table for increasing autism fits. would cause massive change in gut bacteria. fat is incredibly important for gene expression as well.

I wouldn't do the procedure. I don't wish to be cured. My AS is a part of who I am.

I don't believe ASD is primarily a gut-caused disorder. I've had minor problems with my gut for years--perhaps major ones when I was very young. ASD's, though, is primarily a neurological difference.

Fecal transplants are used for people with things like colitis and C-Diff infections.

So,how would you like your feces? Original or extra crispy?

If you've ever been in a public pool I'm sure you've already had a fecal transplant. You'd be amazed at how poor some people are with their wiping technique, and those pieces get softened and broken apart by water into microscopic particles that then float unnoticed through the water column.

Now who's up for some spicy Mexican food and maybe a dip in the pool?
