Man, it's sad that this Autistic kid and his father had to die because of police brutality man. I know he should've never killed that kid or his father and yes he should be PUNISHED for his actions, however I highly doubt that the officers even KNEW that this poor child even had Autism.

I might be missing something, but I'm not sure how Autism really plays a part in this. A lot of them are killed by their parents or peers because they can't deal with the child anymore; this sort of thing could've happened to any kid, and this one just happened to be autistic. There's nothing anti-autism going on here, so people shouldn't really be playing the "Autism oppression" card.

If the father had cooperated with the police instead of running away from them and refusing to stop, the kid would be alive.

While the police may have overreached, the father is equally responsible.

Until we learn to stand up for ourselves and fight back, autistic bodies will keep piling up.

How could the kid fight back? Once again, this incident doesn't involve autism in any way. Please don't make this a pity party.

no individual autistic can fight back alone, but if well all act as one, then change can happen.

Yeah this. It's a sad story, but the kid wasn't shot because he was autistic as far as we know from the information provided in the link. Police Brutality is an entirely separate issue in the United States and it's starting to reach Brazilian levels. Stay indoors and don't do anything to draw attention.

Is there a link for this? If this is true do they know why the police opened fire?

Police brutality disproportionately affects ethnic and neurological minorities, it's a symptom of the wider social ills of racism and NT supremacy.

Autistic people have tried to do this since the beginning of time. It has not and will not change anything.
