Why is everything about children?
Bit harshly put, but quoted for absolute truth
Governments (only first world ones) have legal requirements in the treatment and well being of children. Adults not so much. Once you graduate into adulthood, sink or swim. No one cares.
IF you are a unmarried male with no minor children with you, you are basically f**k.
I will say that the government is more fair than charities or random people. SSI/SSDI bases it's decisions on the actual disability and it's impact on your life [although they do deny people unfairly all the time], while if a parent posts a child's photo on GoFundMe along with a sob story that kid is covered by strangers for years to come. I'm not cute enough for people to care, even though I didn't ask to be born either....
Point is, if you want help it's better to pursue the government than emotional sources.

The government takes the money from the same people, against their will and under threat of force, who wouldn't fund any kind of help for us if given a choice, so it's not fair at all. If you can't support yourself, and noöne wants to support you, the fair thing to do would be to let you die. Noöne is entitled to a living.

I believe I am entitled to life; conservatives will happily rally for the life of a fetus, if that matters, so do I.

Also I wanted to add: Perhaps a fair portion of their income is being taken away by force [which also goes to schooling of the children they love so much] but my ability to work has been taken away by force. My point with this thread is that adults have been given up on when if we received equal supports to children, we would be equally as likely of improvement and success as they are. I didn't ask to have autism any more than a child asked to be born, nor do I deserve death any more than a child does.
Taxes are a small price to pay for a decent life. If I was able to earn my own living tomorrow , I wouldn't complain about having to do something that everyone does, not just to help us but also to fund things they use themselves. You pay your 20% of cash, I'll pay my 99% of my life.

Because children are cute and small and humans are pretty superficial and shallow so it goes down well. Same applies to women.
People think you just grow out of autism. There is a generation of adults that haven't been diagnosed, I was surprised as some of these guys were so obvious in the traits and reading their life stories. If anything autistic adults and teens of right now have it much harder. No one knew about when we were younger they just assumed we're weird and other horrible things. We had to learn things the hard way and get it beaten into us.
In todays PC world everything is inspiration porn and feel-good crap. A disabled kid is like a ultimate combo sap story. We got parents of disabled kids putting them all over the internet just to brag about how they're the best parent in the world for having a disabled kid, we got people bragging about how they weren't an a**hole to a disabled person, and etc. When I read stories like a teen standing up for a blind student being bullied or a middle school basketball player standing up for a down syndrome cheerleader being bullied, I wonder would anyone give a s**t if they weren't disabled or their disability wasn't so visible?
Let's be real if kids weren't so cute and little everyone would hate them for how obnoxious some of them are and we would basically consider them to be borderline sociopaths/psychopaths or just a**holes. I think they're biologically designed to be cute otherwise we wouldn't put up with their s**t.
Society tries to program us to feel bad for women and children and if you don't you are a terrible person, if you're a male you better hope you're still a kid if you want anyone to give a crap about you, otherwise once you're an adult you're disposable. Woman have almost as much social advantages because of their beauty and because of our past history of basically treating women like children.
A woman can get you kicked out of a bar just because you didn't buy them a drink and sent to court for a false count of rape the same as a child can lie about child abuse and ruin your life just because you wouldn't let them eat ice cream for dinner.
People also try to make you feel like a horrible person and control you through women and children, like how they use a Syrian woman and a child for a poster about Middle Eastern refugees to make you feel bad about denying them to come into Western countries at boatloads even though the majority of Middle Eastern Migrants are men and crime rates increase as more of them come. Basically a lot of political movements are trying to use small children like a illegal immigrant child to make you feel bad about denying them into the country and hating anyone that still goes against it. That is some sick and evil manipulation.
A lot of professional beggars use kids to get more money. They drug the baby/kid so they don't make any noises or talk. These kids are most likely kidnapped as well which is why I don't give them money and try to alert police if there are any around. I always wondered why the baby/kid was always asleep when a beggar would basically put them in our faces to make us give extra money.
People like to buy puppies because they're cuter than full grown dogs, even though buying puppies contributes to the horrible puppy mill business. People are willing to pay hundrends and even thousands for a puppy and supporting a horrible business even though they could get a full grown dog for free, if they do get a full grown dog it is the small breed types because since they're almost as small as puppies they can be considered cute. If people do care about puppy mills they probably don't care about how other animals are treated aside from cats.
Same applies to adopting children, no one really wants to adopt a teenager or even a 9 year old, most people try to get babies and kids under the age of 5.
Children are a lot smarter than people think they are, they're naturals at manipulation which is probably why most people haven't caught on. I'm able to see through this so I kinda see small kids as intellectual equals. I think it also has to do with the fact I was very self-aware as kid, I thought all the other kids acting up in Elementary school were stupid because they seemed to lack basic self control and were always causing trouble, especially trouble that got them hurt and they never seemed to learn from.
Children in general are spoiled, which backfires later when they grow up and all of a sudden no one cares.
Tax payers are happy to ensure that every elementary school is equipped with the latest iPad
I'm technically still considered a kid, I even thought all the kids around me were spoiled brats growing up. Laws are getting too over protective of them and basically giving them everything on a silver platter and little to no consequences for their actions, heck students a year or 2 younger than me get away with ridiculous things like attacking their teachers and other authority figures. I'd never be a teacher because I wouldn't want to have to deal with brats that can ruin your life with one lie even if it was proven to be wrong. I don't like them as my peers so no way I'd like them as a teacher. If the students don't like you, you're automatically assumed to be a horrible person. I greatly respect teachers that continue to teach even if they have the worst students in the world, especially those that try to connect with the students and understand them no matter how horrible they are.
The newer generation of kids are screwed when they become adults because they're treated like the world revolves around them, they get participation trophies, games like dodgeball and tag are banned because they're too "aggressive". Just giving them a time out is starting to be labeled as child abuse. I've seen kids threaten to call CPS and lie if their parents didn't buy them candy or the latest iphone. Some have the balls to hit adults for no reason. I'd hate to seem them as adults, they'd basically be psychopaths.
I agree, but to expand on that...
I think that perhaps non-profits and similar organizations that sometimes exist primarily for their own existence and salaries don't see autistic adults as much of a cash cow (ie a good source of income). However, *parents* of children who are having problems? Gold mine....

It's also legal for kids to abuse their siblings and parents and not face any charges. It's not considered victim blaming when you blame it on the parents when their kid is threatening them and bullying them and breaking things, etc.
Sure a parent can press charges when their kid is a teen but then the problem is the kid could end up with a criminal record and no parent wants that because it can hold the kid back in life and make it hard for them to get into college and to even find work or a place to rent.
Plus you can't just throw you kid in a mental hospital when they are abusive and you fear for your life or because your other children are afraid of their sibling. I hear it's hard to do that and the fact that I hear if you send them back every time they are violent, you can get arrested for child abandonment for because they think you are lazy and for trespassing.
I don't think kids being violent is taken seriously because they are so innocent and can never hurt a fly right and everyone assumes a parent can just handle it and be stronger than their child and that a kid can't even hurt an adult. There are kids out there who have serious behavior issues and who are very sick. It seems to be more common in children who are adopted because of RAD because usually those kids didn't learn to bond as infants so they didn't learn to develop a conscious or any empathy so they act like little sociopaths and RAD is like childhood psychopathy. Lok at Beth Thomas for example. She is an example for a kid that was very dangerous, so dangerous that her parents had to keep her locked in her room to keep her from harming her brother while they all slept. Then eventually the parents found the right help for her, it was another woman who ran a ranch for kids with RAD and she knew how to work with it and treat it so she adopted Beth and her other parents had to give up their adoption for her because it was the only way to help her. Beth made recovery in less than a year and she was not allowed any privacy and she had to have a alarm on her door and she had to ask for everything like for to use the toilet, ask to drink water etc. because that is how RAD is treated. But it seems like she is the exception because from other cases I have heard about RAD, they never seem to recover and Beth has been the only one who has made progress and recovery for her condition so she grew up to be a fine adult.
But when we hear stories about parents sending their adopted children back to their home country or the time an Ohio couple left their nine year old at the social services and got six months in jail for abandoning their child and hearing how parents will hand their kid to anyone because they are so desperate for their safety, people jump in and judge those parents harshly assuming they are lazy, not because the kid is evil and very sick because they are a psychopath and they bully and harm their siblings and their parents and I have read that some kids have even tried to kill their parents. People just assume these kids had regular problems like any special needs child or any child that has been abused, not because they are so dangerous like Beth Thomas for example. Like I say, people do not take this seriously and there is very little support for RAD so therapy makes these kids worse normally and hospitalizations.

Nope. Though I still don't know the specifics, beating someone clearly disabled is dishonorable and gets everyone to side against you and beat you up just to let you know how unmanly you are, more or less like beating a girl or any significantly younger kid. If you're socially awkward, however, you're fair game, because everyone will blame the beatings you get on you for acting up.
That's very much what cuteness is about. In the ancestral environment, both children and women didnt' have much of a chance to survive unless men protected them. On the other hand, men who didn't like women or children tended not to reproduce, so their genes were wiped out. Therefore, men were selected to instinctively respond to a signal meaning, "If you want your genes to be passed on to the next generation, protect me, love me and consider my life more important than your own. Besides, since we're a social species, you'll be considered an unworthy member of the tribe by your fellow men if you don't, and get kicked out or killed right away, because they're under the same selective pressure as you are", and women and children were selected to produce it, because those who failed to do it well enough were, in fact, abandoned to their fate and rarely survived.
Evolution, for all its stupidity and inefficiency, is wise: instinct and gut feeling work. Never expect people to be reasonable if they don't need to. My parents managed to make me feel a duty to be intellectually honest at all times since my childhood, so I grew up expecting everyone to feel it, too. It was really hard to accept, many years later, that others are by no means bound by logic or evidence, and that they will fiercely and courageously defend their right to keep their irrational beliefs and act on them; if this conflicts with someone else's rights, too bad, sucks to be them. And my parents were themselves no exception.
Then maybe only woman and child immigrants should be allowed. It seems to be what the people want.
It wouldn't be if grown-up men weren't allowed.
Some discreetly prick them with a pin to make them cry.
That's why the business works in the first place: because instinct works---reason, on the other hand, is horrifyingly easy to rationalize away.
That only shows that teen age is a modern concept. Teenagers were functional adults in the ancestral environment (and what we now call adults were most of the time too old to be still alive). Modern society leaves young people in the increasingly awkward situation of no longer being cute enough to depend on their parents, but still having little chance to make it on their own, especially having previously been spoiled as children.
I felt that way as a teenager, but now I think that's how they learned a lot of things important to succeed as an adult, while I didn't. If you're not constantly testing the boundaries and striving to bend the rules in your favor and abusing whomever you can afford to, noöne will respect your boundaries, and everyone will bend the rules against you and abuse you.
It's always shocked me how easily people selectively forget their earlier stages in life when it suits them to invalidate younger people. They themselves wouldn't have grown up into functional adults if they'd been as dumb when they were kids as they profess all kids to be.
Again, this shows most people, most of the time, don't need to be reasonable. When you're in charge, you have to invalidate those below you; the particular excuse or fallacy you choose to do it doesn't matter.
You know, defending teachers, or anything standing for the previous generation's status quo, will make your peers hate you as a traitor. It doesn't matter whether you're right---it's honor before reason. They'll see you as competing with a mighty unfair advantage, as they feel the need to actively look for trouble with teachers and other established authority figures to prove they're worthy to their peers.
Ironically, this will create a strong selective pressure favoring kids resistant to spoilage, who will grow up into strong-minded adults who get to farm all other adults, using their poor impulse control to effectively enslave them. Now I think of it, I really shouldn't have used the future tense.
