--& i think, it is worth emphasizing (what most of us already know) that the range of (lower- to higher-) functioning differs in the same person depending on time, surroundings, & circumstance-- which, if it is not the very criterion of AS, certainly one thing in which there is a much wider range than in most neurotypicals.
