I never said that men and women are totally identical. I said that cognitive differences are overblown and sensationalized for sexist purposes.

I thought we were talking about SBC research? There is nothing in his research where you can come to that conclusion. That would be a misrepresentation of his work.

What are you referring to here-- overall gender differences in behavior and cognition, or gender differences between "Autistic" men and women?

Differences between autistic men and women. His EMB results show that autistic men and women are not exactly the same. Like the control male and female population in the study I linked to, autistic men and women do show a difference. Now the EMB theory is not a diagnostic methodology, but it does show that a difference exists which may to some degree account for the greater difficulty in diagnosing women who tend as a whole be more like the neurotypical control population. It is theorized that autistic women mask their traits better and EMB results show that difference where autistic women on average tend to have greater empathizing/less systematizing than autistic men.

After looking at your critique, I concede that the second study was poorly designed to address SBC's thesis. EMB theory isn't just poorly named because it causes people to dismiss his research out of hand, it places overemphasis on tendencies between male and female skill sets that are much, much weaker than terms like "male brain" (systemizing) and "female brain" (empathizing) would suggest.

Because given his antics he`d be an embarrassment to the royal family LOL

In all seriousness i think his talent has waned since he came on the scene about 1999. Ive seen a recent movie (not recent borat) & he`s not as funny anymore.

I agree that the name is unnecessarily controversial. It is a pity because it discusses some very interesting ideas in evolutionary biology. It is a small piece of this autism puzzle, but I found it thought provoking. There are certainly other drivers and puzzles around autism that need to be solved.

Personally, I feel that knighthood is very much so an out of date antiquated affair.
More so a tradition handed down from times when Kings and Queens led their people into real battles.
No offence to the Queen of England (Britain) and her family, it wasn't their fault they were born into such an establishment.

Personally, being egalitarian idealist in nature, and being classless (or some may so, has no class..., to be that's a compliment). I do not recognise or automatically respect ancient establishments founded in a time long gone, so do not really respect awards given by titles and do not recognise or believe they have sovereignty (put in place or approved by God).

I feel that awards given by the Queen now simply mean inclusion into the UK's power elite. Approval by one who is powerful through inherited wealth and office. No offence to the Queen or her family personally.

I personally feel that the time of Monarchy is gone.

What i find ironic and hilarious, is that so many people in the industries that cover creative arts, culture and entertainment who portray themselves as anarchists, communists etc. would kill to get in with the Queen esq.
and i know of a few that probably have, all so they can then "use" their new network of power mongers and wealthy supremacists, so they also can become as capitalistic as those who they have spent their entire lives (and to some extent careers profiting from) discrediting and attacking.

Please do not regard my opinion as a personal attack towards any of the royal family individually, nor are my opinions totalitarian in nature. Please feel free to have your own opinions on the matter, even if they completely oppose my own.

I certainly wont be stalking, cyberstalking or breaking your doors down in the early hours of the morn to punish you for having a different opinion to me. But that's the difference between free democracy and totalitarian/fascism.

May I also state that I also am not saying that many of the people who have received awards or recognition from the Queen do not deserve recognition, although perhaps not from someone who has simply inherited wealth and office, perhaps from organisations and associations in their own field of expertise and perhaps from the governments of the countries that have benefited from their work.
