The biggest waste of human mental energy consumption is the desire and attempt to fit in. Quite similarly the second waste of your time is other peoples demands for others to fit in with them. The real challenge is not becoming similar but letting it be in which then there is no struggle and then perhaps more people would be bored enough to invent other senseless consumptions of time and energy.

TBH, I think a good percentage of the "OMG I AM SO PROUD TO BE AN ASPIE" people here aren't really happy with having Asperger's, they just think that they can convince themselves by repeating it over and over again.

I would have loved to have seen what type of father I would have been but my AS makes me hate to be touched or to get close to someone. I could care less about being more sociable or the ability to make eye contact. The ability to understand social ques could have kept me out of some trouble growing up though.

Wow, I was beginning to think I was the only one who didn't like having AS. If there was a cure, I would take it in a heartbeat. I've only ever wanted to be normal.

I'd cure it if I had a choice. I hate having AS. I also hate having Tourettes. I also hate having the attention span of a gnat. I would rather be normal and have a house, a job, a husband and maybe kids than be where I am right now: in care and suffering inside my own head. Don't get me wrong, I am getting well cared for here, but I'd rather not NEED caring for
