How old are you, by the way?

That's irrelevant and none of your business.

Something I learned in Alanon: When you finally stop banging your head against the wall, it ceases to be painful.

Citing Fox News or CNN I can easily see as unreliable sourcing, but BBC??? Egads, what next?

I think that if people just realize that autism is a developmental disorder then maybe they wont need to think about this issue.

Which is why it is so all-fired important that people who also believe this to be true, stand up and shout it from the rooftops, because otherwise, the only voice being heard is that of AS.

No that won't work - because they see "disorder" and think negative instantly. That's the sort of people we are dealing with.

Now if we went with "development difference" we would be getting a lot further.

That's what I was going to say.

Disorder implies something needs to be cured. "Differences" can be treated if need be, but don't have to.

Exactly. Funny what stigma certain words can carry. It's the same as 'suffer'... I hate reading that we 'suffer' from a 'disorder'. The only thing I ever suffer from is other people's prejudices.

If there is only one thing I will agree with you on, this is it.

At last, common ground! ;)

(I'm sure there'll be others!)

Not likely beyond this! Sorry - but this looks like an exception.

And any prejudice you get because of your attitude to vaccines - bluntly you deserve.

*rolls eyes* Stop trolling. Seriously, people like you are no better than the schoolyard bullies that plagued my - and probably most people on here's - childhood. Thankfully, the more you speak badly of me, the more likely I am to do the opposite and prove you wrong. Gotta love those Aspergian traits eh.

I disagree - you are the troll when you talk about vaccines.

Why? Because I disagree with you?

Correction - because you disagree with the facts of public health and in the process show yourself to be a menace to said public health.
