Out of curiousity, why did you raise "sports coaching" as evidence of expertise in autism?
I have got a boy scout first aid badge but it does not qualify me to practice medicine anymore than your "credentials" allows you to pontificate on this forum with claimed professional expertise. I note that you seek to negate other posters conributions on this basis

"I am a member of the Australian Life Coaching Society and I am an accredited Coach of the Australian Sports Commission. I have Corporate Coaching experience in both Australia and New Zealand. In October I am the guest speaker at my regional Autism support group. I have a Master's Degree, my master's dissertation was on Asperger's.

I agree with you in regards to advocacy, but we only learn to be better at what we do through experience, we can offer such experience if we choose too.
This is better than shooting down someone, which is not a nice thing to do.

Do you have qualifications to be an advocate in the US?

In Australia you would not be taken seriously without education on your topic, and relative experience."

Further, I suggest that you take a look at your own conduct in the few days you have been on this site and reflect if you do UTS or Griffith Uni's any credit.

In terms of yesterday I was asked regarding my qualifications, and answered accordingly. Although others would not share theirs.

Then I was called a clown and a Joker,

I must say- I have never come across such behaviour on a forum before.

The people I work in with accept my qualifications as I accept theirs.

What is with the attitude of policing on this forum?

I have nothing to hide.

What I do not agree with is people correcting others!

Why would you correct another adult. Where does that attitude come from?

Get real, we are adults and we have our own minds we do not need others to correct us.
We are not children.

Grow up a bit and learn acceptance of others.

And do not correct me again!

So nobody can disagree with you? :D

I'm sorry I did not know that a couple of degrees from medeocre Aussie Uni's made you omnipotent.

Can you tell me the meaning of life, how to build a perpetual energy source and how to cure cancer and the common cold, your Eminence?

PS I take it your Masters did not involve logic or critical reasoning.

No, I do not mine if people disagree, that is only natural. But correcting the spelling or puncuation of someones post is not required, it is petty.

My course work which I received all distinctions in, included, Research Methods and Processes. This includes the principles of both qualitative and quanitative research., for example- Nominalism-realism: the ontological debate.

Please do disagree, but do feel the need to correct another adult.

A walking endorsement of the Australian Tertiary Education Sector; anybody fancy sending their kids to Australia for a "good" education?

I suggest that you take more care in drafting your posts and ensure that they include content beyond mere platitudes if you wish to gain a modicum of credibility on this forum.

Using Mea Culpa as an excuse for hypocrisy. THat also sounds familiar... Also, are you just ignoring what we say now?

For those people who do not like what I write, please let's agree to disagree.

Is it possible for us to have a resolution of events?

I have not said I was an authority, I have only said I would be my own advocate, and that I was a Life Coach. You may disagree with that, and you may think that I am ineffective in coaching others.

You may think that my educational standards are below par. That I went to below standard universities. I am sorry I do not make the grade.

What I have undertaken was to try my best and achieve where I could.

I have my own ideas as do you. We are all positioned.

Some of you may be blessed with talent and ability far beyond mine. I entered this forum with a wish of inclusivity. People sharing their views together with intrinsic understanding of the spectrum. I did not believe I would be judged so harshly.

If you wish me to leave I will do so. Life is just to short, impermanence is pending.

If you believe that I can not make a positive difference here, then please say so. I can not be more open than that.

Will I make mistakes when I post, well I will, and I have all my life. Will I say things that are provocative, yes I will, when I feel others are trying to correct me, or belittle me. I do not require correction. My mistakes are my own, as are yours.

ProudAspie I see you have posted again- I do not wish to post against you.
I would not call someone a clown. I personally do not agree with name calling, nor dismissing the views of others.

Please do not feel the need to correct me, nor belittle me. Please do disagree with my points- as you see it. I am open to being informed, not corrected, nor belittled.

And others please do the same.

I do not agree with what you say, nor how you say it.
Tell me why I should listen to you?

I have received warm welcomes from others on the forum, both before and since yesterday!

I also notice that only a small number of members actually post! There are 54.000 plus members.

I don't care what you do; however, I suggest that you:

1) Don't big note yourself without being able to back it up.
2) Don't get into a my dad is bigger than your dad situation by bragging about your quals, then claiming that they give you an exclusive right to speak and then hector other posters to provide their credentials when they just asked for your credentials as "a life coach and an advocate"(which you raised unprompted).
3) Don't mislead the readership as to the degree of expertise your credentials give you; how is sports coaching germain to Autism advocacy?
4) Don't instigate a battle of wits and then fail to deliver a single instance of wit or humour.
5) Do read posts carefuly; nobody called you a clown.
6) Do stay away from the patronising "thanks for posting stuff" and the platitudes.

Stay or go? I don't care!

Just a few of my own thoughts.

1] I do not believe I big noted myself, you may disagree.
2] I was not bragging about anything, and I did not say I had exclusive rights, nor that I was a clincal psychologist or Psychiatrist.
3] Sports Coaching is related to Life Coaching. Many of the principles of Life Coaching are based on the experience of Sports Coaching. I did not say that it was related to Autism. Again, I only said I would be my own advocate and that I was a Life Coach. Pray tell me where is the harm in being ones own advocate with life experience.
4] I think you and others are already involved in a battle of wits. When someone writes something it is picked at. Let people express their views so that they can experience acceptance. Do not require others to meet your expectations. That is just my observation.
5] I was called both a clown and a Joker. I know that both mean you are a muppet.
6] I like to post positive endings. Like- All my very best, All my very best to you, and, Have a wonderful day. I also like to thank people for reading my post. Politeness goes a long way in human relationship, in my personal experience of 26 years of marriage and two adult children on the spectrum. You may disagree.

Do I have experience, yes, I have. Iam AS, as are my children. My good lady wife is not. I have 26 years of marriage within a AS family. I have a dissertation on my personal experience of AS. I am a self taught Aspie Artist. I wrote about my art and Cognitive details of my Autistic mind, and that of my children who differ from me.

I believe I have much to say and offer people who are in the same or similar situation to myself. I also believe other people have experience they can offer. I would like to hear them if they post.

I do not believe that this forum should be only for academics, or those who have advanced educational standards. I am more interested in people who wish to share insight into their condition and their approaches to adaption.

ProudAspie,

Negate as you wish.

You know that the second statement in your quote was in reference to being an advocate.
The first statement in your quote was in terms of life experience.

Why do you think I am being deceptive, when I have openly explained everything.
