Those kids should have gotten some sort of social punishment, like community work. I think their minds would change rather quick if they'd have to do community work in a after-school club for autistic children/teenagers or something like that. Or maybe I'm just an idealist.

Wow, I think this is the first time in a while I'm glad I live in the states.

In my view they got away far too lightly.

Maybe we need an Autistic Self Defence thingy set up, perhaps using a tailored version of Krav Maga?

I hope that she and her attackers were the only people on the street at the time, because if there were people around who could have, but didn't, intervene, then I'll really know my country needs help.

Can't she get them for civil damages at least? Anyway, the decision to prosecute isn't taken by the police in cases like this, is it?

As much as I hate the fact that this happened I love this article, if more people saw things like this maybe then we can fix these problems.
