The Statute of Limitations on criminal prosecution varies with the degree of the crime and from state-to-state. So if an adult man is trying to press criminal charges for a crime that happened when he was a boy, he had better have a lot of valid physical evidence or a very good lawyer -- preferably both. Otherwise, his chances of success are likely nil.
