Hatred Towards NTs

Those are my words, exactly. I don't like the ones who don't appreciate individuality, and who have to engage in senseless small talk, about the things that you've mentioned. I'd change the word, soccer, to make-up. I don't wish to be sitting around beauty queens, talking about American Idol, men that are handsome, to their standards, cute clothes and make-up. I'd rather be out in the evening, with my two NT friends who understand me, with my hair spiked, wearing real jeans, and in four months time, what will become my prized Sid-style leather jacket. If It's Tuesday evening and I'm getting over a cold, I'd rather be indoor, playing Lions' Bingo, with the big prizes. The seniors understand, that I'm different, for a reason and they make me feel welcome.

Agreed. The worst people are the jocks, but there are some very nice NTs. My best (only) friend is an NT, we have been friend for years. We typically don't start anything, if we have a problem with NTs it is because they had a problem with us first. I have not suffered much physical bullying for a long time, being one of the biggest kids in my grade, but it seems like everyone always has a problem with me, the only people who really understand are the other kids in my position, the unpopular NTs. My friend is really about the only popular NT who is really nice to me.

If NTs are a race, then i'm a racist.

But I do know how you feel. I have a new job where I believe everone is NT but for the first timne in my life these workers focus on their jobs, not me. I have no idea whey. I just hope it continues. I sure hope I do not hope for too much.

sartreuse, I always say I won the right to hating NTs, after all I've been through all my life just for being different. Ostracized by absolutely everyone in the immediate and extended family, through no wrongdoing whatsoever, fired from most jobs, totally alone in the world having done absolutely no harm to anyone, having helped my sister raise her 3 kids and being first adored by them and then abruptly cut off from them forever...yes, I despise NTs and I've earned the right to.

I am sorry Greentea, I did not know you were treated so bad by your family. You must feel so alone. At least I have my kids.

I suppose I thought because you live in a land surrounded by enemies, everyone in Eretz Israel clung together for support. I wish I was not wrong. I was wrong about the people in my job, too. Many greedy and insensitive people who do not give others a chance. I have been reassigned, once again.

I wish I could say something to help. I will share any ideas if I can figure out how to solve this problem.

Thing is NTs currently run the planet with stupid NTs believing in "smart" NTs (sociopaths).

What's the solution? Hide in a bunker? NTs with nuclear weapons. Now that's a scary thought.

I had a laugh from the conditionalists and misanthropists on this thread.

My best friend is probably the very personification of NT(and I often ask her about her behavior and she is very compassionately tells me, even if I am sticking a gun to her head).

It is anAfrikaans word (Afrikaansword) and was legal practice in South Africa, as we all know.

Now, I love humanity, I think it was silly. I learn just to accept the way they are, most of them really are not interested in hurting anyone, really.

Interesting topic. I don't have enough traits to receive the AS diagnosis. However, I don't understand most NT's. What does that make me?

I don't hate NT's, I only hate what they do. I never learned how to play their reindeer games, so I paid for it by becoming a misanthrope like the above-mentioned poster. I didn't use to be this way, though. I blame society. In fact, I'm so used to being disliked, I've come to expect it. Because I dislike confrontation, I'm an equal-opportunity avoidance specialist.

I don't think I realized how much inherent hatred I've been carrying with me all these years until I read this thread. Now I think I understand why I enjoy my job so much.

And whoever it was that said that girls didn't do the boy bully thing. HA! The girls were way worse!

Terms like "NT" and "ASD" exist for the sake of convenience, so we can condense long, generalized descriptions into one or two words. I think it's important to be aware that these are generalizations. There's a lot of diversity within the categories, and there are a lot of people who don't fit any existing category.

Agreed. The girls were awful. I pretty much found a shady tree and read books through my school years. Or wrote. Anything to avoid the 'playground'.

I went the step further and actually climbed the tree. It was way safer up there.

Girls are worse, becaus eits more psychological bullying. Margaret Atwood addressed this in her novel, Cat’s-eye and there are a lot of non fiction books about the same thing. I moved through like 14 schools and so I never had bullying much because I was just invisible, and coming or going, but I did a bit where I knew people better but then I had the option of just moving. Girls often pretend to be nice as part of it, its well thought out - like a long sustained play leading to some kind of ultimate act of meanness, whereas guys are just outright mean, so you know where you stand and at least you can give a retort. That’s my experience. Girls are more nuanced about it. Then again, especially when you get to University, the guy professors can be very cruel and bully in a psychological way too, maybe because they have to keep up appearances the way girls often do, so they have to express their bullying in more inadvertent ways.

Many years ago, I went to film school (which led no where) but one of my instructors there said that one thing we must get used to is the tactics used by anyone in the industry which is like good cop bad cop, first they’re good and nice and give approval or make you feel special somehow to them so your vulnerable and dependent on it, then the next time they look at your work they change personality and are cold and hit you with something mean and degrading, it’s a psychological technique to get you to work like crazy for their approval. It wasn’t one he liked he said, but had to put up with as a screenwriter. I find this is kind of like bullying you get in university or from girls in school.

Another thought I have, more relevant maybe to this thread is that a lot of people, NT included, have a hatred for NT that they don’t know about, they come up with other words for it. Like a lot of people from the 60’s generation, I know from my parents friends for instance, keep to themselves and rant about the general “masses” as somehow evil in general, or lump them all together and call them, “Philistines” or “plebeians” or so “Pedestrian” etc… This happily alienates them from everybody.

Rob Thomas in a concert I saw on TV, I remember, said that everyone is weird in some way. Nobody is normal. I agree with that. Or at least:

Unfortunatley that's one thing that puts me off coming here abit is the "NT Bashing". Yeah ok some NTs can be horrible but some AS people could aswell, theres good and bad in everyone...
