well, I just got a good chuckle out of this post.

Why? Does she also think Amanda is a fraud?

Yeah, she was one of the first to hold this opinion, I do believe.

Droopy is not making this up. She's upset about yes. Is she bitter? Well that's obvious but how would you like it if someone decided to lie to you and steal from you?

Amanda has copied elements of Droopy and both of them met online before Amanda did that video.

Droopy has a blog on Aspies for Freedom. You can read it. I believe Droopy. After watching Amanda's video's it was a gut feeling there was something not right. Why is this fraud acceptable? Droopy is LFA with no inconsistancies to her background.

Amanda at one time was a schizophrenic "elf" (she posted all of this stuff online before getting the autism diagnosis)

Amanda posteurs as LFA and it's obvious that is what she is going for. She can't speak but in the video already linked in this thread on the second page, if you read it...SHE HERSELF says...that it's not her communicator. It's her voice. She's singing and singing three times and she added it to the video.

Imagine that you are LFA. You need assistance. You were put in an institution for 20 years. Family decided it was best. You come out. You feel alone. You taught yourself how to type and you typed Beatles lyrics. You found out there is someone else like you and you wanted to make a friend only to find out that this person is trying to one up you but really just wants to duplicate your life to seek attention.

Droopy is not "obsessed" with Amanda. She's obsessed with setting the story straight and Amanda is obsessed with keeping the story going.

I totally agree.

It is not so much the outward appearances that tell us whether someone is autistic or not but what is happening inside, and that, no-one can see.

I look normal, I have learned to act normally in most situations but it is clear that even now at age fifty, I still think autistically and still do not respond to some things and yet I wouldn't have realized this without some input from a specialist, even myself!

Now, CAN IT! I saw both posters writing styles on AFF and they were completely different from one another.

And for the record, CNN did a background check on her, verified her diagnosis and her entire life history, saw ALL her psych records IN PAPER, interviewed her friends, family, doctors, old teachers etc - before they did the story on her. They wouldn't have done the story if anything about her seemed off.

I am guessing the reason why Droopy got banned from AFF was her talk about Amanda being a fraud. I googled "droopy aspies for freedom autistic woman speaks out" just like ShellyH said to do and came across the blog about it.

I can remember the talk about it on AFF about her being banned and the mods said she made false assumptions about people and she was deluded. I did not know what assumptions she made but I think I know now.

If Amanda is really autistic, why didn't they show her family on the news or in the articles interviewing them?
