doesn't disllusionment turn into hatred and violence? Or is that a Geass quote (seriosly only watched first 4 eps of season 1).

though I prefer quoting Gundam Seed XD

can't find the quote I wanted; but this is cool

Quote:
Uzumi Nara Athha: The Earth Forces' present actions are being guided by the leader of Blue Cosmos, Muruta Azrael. To make matters worse, the PLANTs are led by someone who believes Coordinators are a new species; Patrick Zala rules them now. The way things are developing the world will soon be trapped between two forces who refuse to accept each others' existence.

Uh; yes there is. The US has the largest stockpule of Anthrax, for example. The USSR has a bunch of virii created and developed-and it's not even a secret now...

That's how I ended up here.

We could *nuke* the forum; if ya know what I mean.... :P

also lol @ the Alex Jones joke..hey, he messes up and is biased towards the libertarian side, etc but he's cool...

We all know where John Best will go when he dies. I don't pay any attention to what he says, because he will lose in the end.

Actually, that was a "me" quote. I get those from time to time when I get really hacked off.

John Best is crackers. If you can be prejudiced against something, he is prejudiced against it. He reckons it's OK to call autistic people 'train wrecks'. I think that says it all. This end-of-the-wrold paranoia doesn't surprise me either.

Any bets on how long it will be before John Best claims to see dead people?

What was scarier though is that I ran into someone on Autism Speaks who said that he wished John Best was his Dad! 8O

I've heard of him even. Tends to believe really complex assumption of things and add to them. It's called psychosis.

As long as this thread has already been subjected to necromancy:

The Illuminati were an organization founded in Bavaria in 1776, devoted to the ideals of the Enlightenment. In 1784, the government of Bavaria banned all "secret societies"; the members of the Illuminati were arrested, and their writings confiscated. The group failed to re-form, as they felt that this incident proved that the Enlightenment had failed.

The name has cropped up in conspiracy theories several times since over the centuries, never with any proof that the group existed. In 1975, writers Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson published The Illuminatus Trilogy!, a satire of conspiracy theories and theorists. The trilogy later served as the basis for the card game Illuminati! from Steve Jackson Games, a game which the company recently reprinted under the title Illuminati: New World Order (or INWO to its fans).

Hilariously enough, two cards in the Illuminati! game have sparked conspiracy theories of their own. The first was a claim that one Disaster card, showing a skyscraper in flames, was predicting the events of 9/11. The second, which cropped up about a week ago, was that another card, Combined Disaster (which permits a player to hit another player with the effects of two Disaster cards simultaneously) predicted the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan (the illustration shows a clock tower falling into a crowded street; the tower bears a resemblance to a clock tower in Tokyo, although the people depicted seem to be caucasian, and the clock tower in the real world remains undamaged).

I wasn't familiar with John Best, so I wanted to see what he looked like, and here is the first picture I found (I didn't make this picture so don't blame me  ).

I personally believe that there is a kernal of truth in most conspiracy theorys. Unfortunately, a little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing - and this kind of stuff will make anyone paranoid. I feel bad for the guy.

Plenty of people think I'm nuts when I say big pharmaceutical companies are protected by the government. Most large scale corporations are. Banking bailouts. Litigation protection for pharmaceutical companies - did you know that it states in the flu vaccine inserts that in the event of an adverse reaction you cannot sue the manufacturer - that is what the vaccine injury fund, run by our government, is for. Things do happen way above our heads and our ignorance is a highly valued commodity.

People who think too much about it kinda lose it. Personally, I believe absolute power corrupts absolutely. I think it is naive to think that everyone in our government only has the health, happiness and safety of each and every one of us in mind. That wouldn't be realistic. That is not what history has taught us about our species.

I hope he can come to terms with the reality he knows. It's not necessarily what you believe, it's how you handle it.

John Best is akin to the KKK of the autism community. Now that's strong words. Autism Speaks for instance is not the KKK nor is ASA but I am definitely thinking ASAN central leadership is not in the best interest of people with autism sometimes.

Either that, or apparently someone is skilled in the dark arts. Could possibly be the same necromancer that resurrected this thread.

The ugly negative folks get the most attention. The adversity mongers get the most attention. What about folks that simply well do the good works. I'd say people enjoy drama so much that the good works folk got to learn about how the drama folks minds work to do the good works.
