No, Wales, because then I don't have to move far.
Wales seems to be the best place for a British Autist Micronation - cheap land, and probably abundant former sheep farms with lots of outbuildings to convert. Did I mention that that's where the founders of AFF live? Always good to have someone on the ground already.
Follow the semi/permanent retreat model and rent the houses out for maybe £2-300 per month. Live in them permanently or only part of the year, maybe making some available as sort of holiday homes. Sure, you'd need upwards of £250k to do this, which means either one wealthy backer or a lot of willing supporters. Or maybe just a few if they're willing to move.
If we could get 50-100 hectares, that would be very good. Enough for a significant measure of self sufficiency, allowing those incapable of holding down a regular job a means of income. The ideal property would be large, with scattered clusters of convertable outbuildings I should think. It'll cost though. More than I'm willing to pay, certainly; I've got other things to commit the bulk of my resources to.
Exactly. I say vancouver. Lots of land to spread through, lots of jobs nearby. A pretty tolerant atmosphere, or so I hear. I may be wrong. Also that and we could move north. I love cold places personally. But also it's mostly unoccupied. We wouldn't be in anyone's way if we chose to be.
