I said at the beginning that I have been doing this for years and in that time I have always been the voice of the parents...If you look at my post this morning in another discussion I made a comment about scared uneducated parents that are painted a worse case picture of autism...and as parents get better educated, they are more likely to question the information that is blasted to the public.

I came here (to WP) more then 13 years after my daughter was diagnosed (maybe better educated) I asked what you wanted say? What message you would give to others? I have only been on WP for a few short weeks and have learned a lot and I believe my work is from the heart.

The buttons on my website are a progression of my journey and that of other parent...the first few buttons are of my daughter sometime after she was diagnosed. My resent buttons have been from your input...as I start I down a new path.

I'm not saying I agree with that button anymore, but you asking me to remove it, is the same as "Autism Speaks" basically stating that the Autism Puzzle ribbon is not the symbol autism awareness. You're thinking only. Maybe having both sides of the story will spark healthy debate, I respect your feeling about this issue and I apologize if this offends you.

I still need to make the first one, but I'm going to be out of town until the middle of this week...I'll make them all available when I get.

off topic...but I have been spreading the word about WP to other groups I belong to...after being here (WP) for only a few short weeks I have become less tolerant of some of the comments made from others in my world.

or "Having Asperger's makes me the individual (person) I am"

It doesn't really matter which word in the last idea is used, it's just the same.
