He gave an exceptionally realistic performance in Adam, a performance which without question transcended Dustin Hoffman's Rain Man! In addittion; I firmly believe that until a movie about someone with Asperger's Syndrome wins some Oscars, Rain Man will forever overshadow all films about Autism, since it recieved so much publicity and won four Oscars including Best Picture and Best Actor at the 1989 Academy Awards.

Rainman was highly overrated. I liked Adam better, because it portrayed a large part of my past.

Dancy's facial expressions when he's being "overwhelmed" were spot on.

The only problem I had with Adam (2009) is that it wasn't longer! It was so good, it left me wanting another 90 minutes. It should have been a three-hour epic, but then again the filmakers didn't have enough time or money to make it that long and detailed. I give Max Mayer extra points given the fact he only had 25 days to shoot the film and a small budget, yet he managed to create a modern cinematic masterpiece. In my opinion Adam (2009) is just the first installment in a trilogy, since the ending is set-up in a way which is a red-flag for at least one more installment. In a sequel I would love to see Beth and Adam married with a son who like his father also has Asperger's. It would illustrate what it is like going through childhood with A.S. and the social struggles involved with other kids. It would also be interesting if Beth's mother Margareat Buchwald (presumably divorced from Marty), also fell for an Aspie. My top choices for that role would be Richard Gere, Liam Neeson, George Clooney, Pierce Brosnan, Kevin Costner, Alec Baldwin, Greg Kinnear, or Bruce Greenwood.
