I just got to the bottom of the situation. It is, indeed, very silly... and cute, and flattering.

I'm not going to discuss it any further, for obvious reasons, but anyone with a lick of sense can figure it out if they put together all the pieces. If you have an account over on AFF, you have probably already figured it out. There are several subjects you do not want to make fun of if you know my family - the death of my ten year-old sister is at the top of that list.

Please don't use this thread to discuss the matter. I am only posting it because I know a lot of other people were every bit as confused as I was.

If you must have an answer, just PM me.

Also, I would like to say that I am VERY sorry that the drama over the interview followed me here. I hate all this chaos and am exhausted by it.

Please do not discuss AFF publicly anymore. It is inappropriate and I am sorry to have been a catalyst for this debate. The interview started a lot of flame wars. Let's make sure they end now.

I have sent you, and several others a private explanation. Please don't spread that around. As you will see, this is not speculation, it is fact. Very silly and very sad, but factual.

Ok, it is neither silly nor cute. It is pathetic.

When you've lost a ten year-old sister to leukemia, nearly lost a brother to a brain tumor, another brother to suicide, and a father to heart problems, you don't want people taunting you about death.

I'm glad there are good moderators here who do not allow such sadism.

locked because we are trying to keep offsite politics off the site when it relates personally to members. there have been several contentious threads of a related matter, and although we can't take action about any of these offsite situations directly, the best we can do is maintain WP as a safe place for everyone.
