Quite frankly, (and I live in Indiana) I will admit they screwed up when they tried to privatize a few things. I'm going to say the wrong companies were chosen in this instance, however you can fire companies, and sue companies a lot easier than you can sue a state. (I actually didn't see this story until now, since I tend to avoid looking at Yahoo's news reporting)
Private sector can be bad, and it can be good. However, of late I've seen quite a bit of corruption from the public sector.
