the TV show
the latest addition to the team of doctors, is dr masters, it was her first appearace in the last episode ( office politics) and she is clearly an aspie. They didn't state it yet, but i'm sure it will be confirmed soon as they are lining up symptoms like a kid lines up cars.
her inability to lie is a bit over the top, but the overall representation is quite human, she had tears in her eyes at one point talking to house's supervisor and girlfriend, so she is not depicted as an emotionless robot.
I quite liked it, you guys should check it out!

I have my doubts that one of the major networks can depict an Aspie without making him/her an emotionless robot. Therefore they will probably have some other explanation for her behavior.

you know what BroncosRtheBest...i may have identified house's writers with their character. He would have figured it out
but seriously the depiction is quite good, especially when she loses faith in herself and says "i don't know why i thought i would be the one to make a difference, i just can't do it all...", well i don't know but i think cuddy is even in on it but won't tell house. i need to watch it again i think, but i'm pretty positive she is an aspie and meant to be an aspie.

I saw that episode and thought it was great. She 's clearly an Aspie and i think that will come out in a future episode. I think she was hired as she's like a miniture of House himself. (Who i believe is also representative of some with Aspergers).

"her inability to lie is a bit over the top"

That can actually be an Aspie trait and added to her Aspieness. I myself are like that.. completely black and white in my thoughts and I struggle to lie even when it would be the far better thing to do. I see lying as bad thing to do...no matter what. (my lack of being able to lie, gets me actually in trouble!!).

i know what you mean, violetchild, i hate lying too, can't do it without giving myself away or just saying"ok, no, i'm lying"after a few moments, but i would definitely do it to save a life, i gueess, if it came to that. no, wait. i know what struck me as "over the top"with the not lying, it's not what she does, it's what she says . "i will not lie, i do not lie, etc" i mean, i would probably come up with something better like "if i were him i'd like to make the decision myself. " or something . Have a reason for it. There's always a good reason not to lie, morally speaking! maybe it was the "symptom expooooosed"part of her speach that i found a bit irritating. but yeah, i'm looking forward to see what they do with her :D i really like the character.
