This is very good news. That way people can stop saying people self-diagnose and then get a diagnoses to fit in. I think there is a real difference between people that have developmental delays early on which persist even other then intellectually and those whom are just geeky and nerdy at least some of the time and or do not socially fit in. I have nothing against nerdy and geeky folks. I don't see why people even want to fit in socially.
I don't know why geeky and nerdy would be a disorder anyways. Autism is a developmental disability / difference under the law and requires intervention and needs to be taken seriously. A true damage is done when autism is not taken seriously. Special interest would much enjoy not paying for services, programs and research.
