Beyond Talking & Bickering - Real-Life Inclusion Action!
When I think of autism self-advocacy especially that of online advocates I find myself displeased. The making a big deal out of small matters and focusing on issues such as cure and of course that whole anti-N.T jargon. Now some years have passed since I've given up on the whole online advocacy and the pride stuff and decided to focus on the bigger picture. I picked an area that my parents moved to and went to work in the public relations and it's been a huge success for a disability work candle making project that also now has new products.
I'm just wondering when folks will stop calling others the ignorant and focusing on other conflicts in order to energize an awareness base for action to change lives. The folks that I don't think will be to excited about what I do will be the very high functioning folks that are seemingly integrated without much or no support at all. So my public relations before any kind of bickering begins is with concern to individuals that are excluded without substancial supports in place like is availible here.
I will share with you an introduction that is new based on 5 years of progress. Though I will admit I am pessimistic and am inclined to be motivated to say I do not need it afterall I'm wondering about this online advocacy. If as much energy socially can be spent on anti-cure why cannot it then also be spent on changing lives so as to be included. The methodology I have put together is decisive and agencies are already onboard.

Folks talk about change, hope and audacity in politics. Yet when it comes to the solutions for developmental disability inclusion these are bleak generalizations which many times fail to inspire hope and relevant innovation. Not just do they not inspire for this special context but the solutions by their authors and those that share the ideals are the same ones that have been progressed for years and the solutions to overcome the barriers not suffice for the entire minority group nor have they been reasonably implemented. This new inclusion cause called Humboldt Includes however was formulated based upon an audacity that was unrelenting, inspired and quite bull headed to begin with.
It was decided a declaration in public relations was needed. Like there is a war on drugs, a war on terrorism and a war on illiteracy it can be said now there is a war for developmental disability inclusion. Enough with the distant proclamations for the pursuit of equality by the politicians and special interests in public relations for individuals with developmental disabilities that fails to inspire and have failed to transpire in many individuals lives. Right here in Humboldt County an example is being created that began with a developmental disability product making project.
A war has been declared in public relations awareness. A social cuase of good intention and resolve that does not compromise and that does not shy away and that does not know pessimism because in all these efforts it is known possibilities occur with dedication, resolve and persistence. The politicians call their ideals a national agenda for self-sufficiency but let us realize something of greater importance and with less philosophical conflict. Inclusion when important to an individual is especially a human rights and equality pursuit. Those who do not know of the reality of exclusion and the desires for inclusion have yet to realize an audacity on the rise.
We cannot expect past generations still living, the current generation and future generations of individuals born with developmental disabilities to expect to be able to earn nothing less than an equality of hope. To say the barriers of differences prevent this solely is incorrect when the audacity to get to know one another enables correct ideas of one another to begin with. These compassionate bridges to be created are well planned and are of the spirit of decisive change. Some government policies might have to be changed and new ones created but these are but complicated barriers in the way of simple and powerful human resolve.
The future does not come to us premade. The future is for us to create in the ways we want it to become. Therefore hesitation is a chosen burden to the future and any injustice that exists now even if not chosen requires a foundation of change to correct. To enact change in community awareness and organizing is the first step to realizing the true potential of individuals and the correct path to fully realizing the human diversity which comprises our community and nation. To integrate these ideals and to resolve in this pursuit for inclusion an unavoidable and persistent positive change for both new community friendships and the undertaking of equality of quality of life by means of inclusion is the new way and the beginning of something more fierce in this moment in time.
Are you ready for Humboldt Includes?
Sincerely,
Nathan Young

This one is set in motion with pre-existing employment sponsors. I am not sure about chapters. I am a loud mouth so others should start their own thing. If they need help I can use the loud mouth to assist.
