I have mild autism and I am a loner. I don't have much social support and I am sick to death of people assuming things about me and mouthing off.

1. I am not a rock spider. I am not at all sexually attracted to children. I have never abused a child and neither have I threaten too.

2. I was never sexually abused by either parents. I was severely physically abused.

People have amazing imaginations. It's a shame that mental energy can't be put to better use. Those are serious allegations. Is it affecting your safety?

Most of the character assassination in my life has been a result of my inability (or refusal) to be what others want me to be - usually for their own comfort or satisfaction. There have been some crazy expectations.

if it bothers you start suing the folks.

I would sue if I could. However I am only on the DSP. You need to be rich for that. Even if I worked. You need to have the income of a Lawyer or Politician to be able to afford suing the Goverment. I tried once.

Some time in the future I intend on collecting a small group of people together like us somewhere who are for all intents and purposes quite capable of working as a society if they weren't being pushed around all the time by assumption-friendly nutjobs that are sprinkled around NT societies like so many insanity-causing lead pipes. A place where because we know each other's pains we can help each other, make each other feel more comfortable and be more alive for it. Given the amount of people who feel hopeless in their current condition I think it'll actually help out a lot.

It'll be a nice nucleus where we wont feel like we're being breathed down our necks by those particular people who can assume what we are and what we aren't because we'll all be in the same boat.

The supporters are many, but the workers are few. Gedrene, try PM'ing AspianCitizen - he's got a hectare in Canada.

Or we could just go underground like the wizards in a badly written popular novel series... but that's just silly...

Underground Wizards. Sounds like... sounds like some sort of neo-punk band. But yeah, we don't just need a hectare! We need a nearby civilization so those who need access to help for other problems can get it. I don't feel like leaving anyone out who has the conviction to join us. I am not going to be responsible for creating an Ephialtes.

Well, there's territory available when we need it, certainly in Wales as a quick check on the internet shows. How close to Entie civilisation?

There are plenty of people who want to do something - including Amy and Gareth (who live in Wales), of AFF. However, they seem to have given up on the Autfinity project. If we could get sufficient interest, preferably concentrated in one area, we could actually start on the path towards an Autist micronation. The participants actually need to meet in person before anything can be done. Next step after that would be forming a corporation as the legal vehicle of the venture, but before that can be done, there needs to be a concentration of interest.

As much as having your own country and getting to spare the normal people my presence, this isn't happening. Ever. We're not a race, we're people with some developmental problem, that does not warrant getting your own micro nation.

You don't have to be a nation to get a micronation, you just need land.

It can happen, all you need is a small group of people committed to it. As an annoying Canadian once sang, never say never.

Wow, I just realized how far out of the loop I've fallen on this topic. I think having autistic communities could be a lot of help to a lot of people.

If concentrating ended up having a generationally deleterious effect we'd likely have to rethink how permanently people should stay in such communities. Still, even if it were that - you can bank on a LOT of tourist money. Even with a cow pasture and a crick on a flat gray-skied plane with no beaches, mountains or bars, you'd still have loads of aspie-tourism, lots of autreats, perhaps aspie land developers building time-share condos for anyone who could manage 10 or 20k to make it out there a few weeks per year.

And now... if you could buy that land on top of a big oil reserve and fight the government to allow drilling permits - that'd be enough for a great start to infrastructure right there.

That was the intitial idea that AFF had. They never did anything with it though... build an Autist village of holiday homes and timeshares, and maybe some permanent housing.

Screw a village or holiday homes, no disrepect. We just need to collect in numbers at a certain peaceful location.
