About five months ago I was asked to speak on self-advocacy at the WV Positive Behavior Support conference. I was asked to specifically talk about my experience growning up on the spectrum, while not getting diagnosed until I was an adult. This is the same issue I discuss in my autobiography (in progress). The conference was held on October 6th and I was offered an honorarium. Anyway, my group's presentation received the highest rating by attendees (higher than even the keynote speaker). So, I am proud of myself!
