I want to watch this show!! !

I also want to ask Mrs. Kirton if she'd like to start up an exclusive Mom's Club-- only spectrum kids and their siblings and parents allowed.

Those seem like very happy kids. The little boy with the salt shaker reminds me of my 4-year-old in so many of his behaviors and mannerisms-- I bet they would have a ball together.

I wonder where they live. I want to learn with them.

Oh, dear. Better pull up my pants, my Asperger's is showing...

Heres a video about there teen son with aspergers. He reminds me so much of the way I was as a teen. I see the way that counselor was talking to him and it just reminded me of the way that school officials used to talk to me.

I wish I could hear as well as see. The speakers on this computer are terrible. If everything's cranked to max, the house is silent, and I lean really, really close, I can make out enough to sort of piece the rest together.

It sounds like the counselor is encouraging the young man, then telling his father that's he's good enough for where he is but not good enough for where he needs to be someday.

Like-- because he's AS, he has to be ahead of the game just to be good enough.

Why is it always, "Not good enough, not good enough, not good enough." with us?? NTs aren't perfect. My stepmom's sister is a psychopath and my in-laws are pretty freakin' dysfunctional. How come I have to listen to people tell me why I'm not good enough and try to improve based on their suggestions, but they don't???

I know this is wrong but sometimes I wish I was profoundly autistic instead. I am so tired of trying, trying, trying all the time...

...and if I ever DO manage to do good enough, it's unnoticed.

Because you don't get any attagirls just for being normal.

I'm tired.

It looks to me like the parents are smarter than the experts. Maybe the father should be talking while the counselor takes notes on what needs to change.

I think he did good with answering the questions. But I could tell he took a little while to answer the questions. I am the same way. I would have also said at that age I have friends only to find out the "friends" I have are actually acquaintances. But of course I knew he was supposed to ask the doctor who her favorite character is.

I've seen this family before, but not this video. My family is also Mormon and has six kids, and I say thumbs up to these guys, expecially the oldest boy. I also say that these experts are always really critical of Autistics for some reason, why is that?
