I was watching tv a few months ago when i changed the channel to this show. I have no idea what it was but it was a teen drama and was painful to watch.
The whole thing was about this kid with asperger's and this was how he was in the show:
1.He had a closet full of the exact same shirts and pants
2.He had bigger meltdowns that I've ever seen an aspie have
3.He was violent
4.He acted like a brat
The list goes on and on

I don't remember more of the episode but it was REALLY awful. Of course the people who made the show tried to pass it off as ASPERGER's AWARENESS and tried to make themselves look good. It was the biggest load of crap I've ever seen.

Musician, what you are describing is called hyperreality, or the blending of fiction with reality until the two become inseparable in people's minds--the very essence of TV. But TV isn't real, though I will add that the best thing that can be done with a TV is to keep it turned off.

I gave up watching TV in 1992. It was one of the best things I ever did for myself.

Sad to think that many people who don't have minds of their own will then believe it, and not only that but believe that it is the case for every single person with AS or autism, etc.
