CT Shooting- A Net good for the community.
Alright to be clear I'm not saying it's a good thing.
I'm saying although at first the attention was mostly negative for the community or atleast it was feared to be, it's actually quite the opposite.
I donno I give you specifics but their's more than a few stories floating around, about where the question is asked and immediately knocked down.
Joe Roegan, who's basically the chief of the jocks, has spoken publicly about it, along with a number of other people.
It really seems to me it's forcing people to acknowledge the issue.
My own mother just died a few minutes ago so I guess I should understand grief the Newtown grief. I'm not crying, though. That's probably the aspie in me. But I think, deep down inside, I must be feeling it.

There definitely was a lot of negative crap at first, but the backlash from those in the know was good to see.
Now that the M.E. investigating the case said publicly that he won't even consider Asperger's as a cause for this (in essence), the negativity ought to fizzle out pretty quickly from here on in.

As before when I first signed up here years ago, I'm finding that after a long hiatus, and after only a few days back on here, I'm spending way too much time here again already. So I'm requesting my account be locked, banned or whatever. It's just time. Until then, well, I dunno...
im hesitent to say anything good can come from what happened.but the reality is connecticut has a been a bloodbath for years.small cities like bridgeport, new haven and hartford have some of the highest violent crime rates per capita in the nation.mostly criminals killing other criminals but a stray bullet hits the ocasional child.most of these areas dont have much power to stop it.newtown has education and people who are lawyers.now touched by tragedy of murder.they can become powerfull advocates for a violence free connecticut

That's kinda what I've been thinking.
It's helped to spread awareness for the community which is quite the opposite of what some people were expecting.
I donno as bad as these types of things the reaction to it can be much worst.
The war in Iraq was unbelievably worst than 911.
