Upset at the media reports on Sandy Hook report.

Yesterday the police put out a report on the Sandy Hook shooting. All the media reports I have seen have said that Lanza had AS. They have not said that he never took his meds, just he had AS. So the media is spreading hate about people with AS.

ABC News never said that, so I suppose it's a bunch of stations getting incomplete information and attempting to diagnose a person based on their shut in tendencies.

FOX seems to believe he was definitely autistic and that anybody with any kind of autism is incurably criminal

What? I only heard he had autism , but still the news doesn't seem to be spreading it about like its a big thing.

CNN mentioned that he never took meds because he wasn't prescribed any. He probably wouldn't have taken them anyway.

Maybe the media is reporting that Lanza had AS because he DID have AS; that is their job.

As far as some kind of collective guilt being dispensed, anybody whose opinion matters will judge us for better or for worse as individuals. For example, nobody blames me for what Lanza did because they know me as an individual who is responsible, and certainly not violent.

I see this as much ado about absolutely nothing. I hope nobody loses any sleep over this.

Yes they have been spreading the hate since it happened. I'm particulary pissed off with this interview they did with Sanjay Gupta who stood in as CNN's spokesperson on autism despite opening claiming to have no expertise or knowledge of it. Uh...why would you have someone who knows nothing about autism be the one to discuss it infront of a national audience? Seriously!
