Sorry the link is from the mirror lol.

Here she goes again, causing havoc for all vulnerable people in the Uk. BUT I don't want this thread to be about how awful she is. I would like to know whether you think she is "definitely
on the spectrum", and the effect it will have on us as autistics or parents of autistic people.

Personally, I think almost everything she says brings out the worst in people, but she gets paid to be controversial! I think debates like this are a good thing. We need to talk about opinions that, sadly, many people still hold. Also, it will "wake up" some of the parents who really are just lazy. They do exist.
I think she knows what shes doing- she's definitely not stupid- and she enjoys the debate, apparently unaffected by the hatred she gets. The publicity her opponents get in social/mass media is valuable.

I think she (sadly, as she's not a great example) might be autistic, but has used her traits to her advantage- shes still in the news and making $ for her family because of the extreme character shes created. If shes not a just a b***h, secret human rights activist or paid by the illuminati (jk), her apparent lack of empathy may have been a coping mechanism, shutting herself off from views that don't line up with her own (ones she can't understand). Her extreme views and stereotypically autistic black-and-white thinking and extremely thick skin/apparent lack of empathy wont do us any good at first but will eventually increase positive awareness of our conditions/difficulties/differences.

If she's being serious about her self-identification as autistic, she should use this to realise she has impaired ability to see things from the eyes of others (in her case those less fortunate than herself), or those who don't have the same ability to just think "I'm fine, everything I do is ok because I'm "just being honest" or whatever.

I'd love to interview her about why she thinks she's autistic!

Like Seinfeld this appears to be self diagnoses about self promotion. Worse then Seinfeld she seems to be using Autism to excuse bad behavior.

Actually I am heartened that unlike in America this seems to be all about her, and not how "high functioning" is not real autism and how all self diagnosis is invalid or wrong.

She's someone who is famous for saying nasty things about other people, and especially about those with mental illnesses.

Does that answer both of your questions?

(The Wikipedia article paints such an awful picture of her that I won't even partially quote it here. BLECH!)
