There is a comment section where you can counter the ableist views used in the report and by other commentators. This is PBS not YouTube and the discussion is at a much higher intellectual level that most other comment sections. This should play into our strength as there are many intelligent people (including many who do not think of themselves that way) who are good writers on this site.

While I understand the problem people have with the name, the MSSNG campaign is actually a pretty cool project. I think it's the first time big data is being used to address autism.

As I pointed out in the thier comments section information is only as good as the people using it. The name used is probably reflective of the thinking of people using it and certainly of one of the two organizations providing the finances for the project. Dangerous in, dangerous out.

The data is open to any scientist who'd like to use it. It's open source.

These scientists know where the funding for research comes from, where public opinion is especially some vocal wealthy parents. Most are neurotypical and the need for prestige competes with the desire for pure knowlege. That is why "Neurotribes" is so important

But there are NUMEROUS ethical problems with the project. Main problem is they have not provided any privacy measures, at least not sense last time I checked. I covered the controversy for my main final paper in Biology.
