I like to watch AS movies whether it's overtly stated or not, and I've watched a few, but was wondering what everyone's favorites were!
I recently watched that movie Story of Luke and at first it was kind of like  but then I loved it at the end!

"Mary and Max" is one of my all time favorite movies. It's about an Australian girl, with no friends and from a bad household, who decides to pick a random name from a NYC phonebook and writes to that person in hopes of being penpals. That person is a man named Max, who has Aspergers.

It's a really good movie. Well put together, funny, charming, and it's pretty realistic with Aspergers.

I probably don't know any that you aren't already aware of, but just in case:

Mozart and the Whale: This is a romance that does a great job of portraying the diverse personalities of those on the spectrum, ie. not all of the autistics are math/science nerds who have zero interest in socialisation. Don't quote me on this but it may have been based on a true story.

About a boy, 2002: Okay movie, but the portrayal of AS is very stereotypical, the AS character is a maths genius etc., he even has the Vulcan eyebrows.

Amadeus: This is a fictional biography of the composer Mozart, who is suspected of having had AS, and this movie definitely portrays him that way.

A Christmas Carol: Mr Scrooge definitely shows some AS characteristics, such as his insistence on living a completely solitary lifestyle and his lack of empathy. The Patrick Stewart one is my favourite, but there are probably other versions of it out there.

Don't know if the Mr Bean movies count as AS movies, but I have often seen psychologists refer to Mr Bean as an example of someone with AS, these are good if you want something a little light-hearted, as the others all have a serious tone.

I agree about Mary and Max, it is a beautiful film, and it may also have been based on a true story.
