NB This post is UK-specific.
I'm currently on JSA after being taken off ESA following a face-to-face Maximus assessment.
I've appealed that decision and am waiting for a date to go to tribunal.
Whether I get put back on ESA or not, what truly pisses me off is the fact that the Job Centre doesn't have any kind of supported employment scheme for people with disabilities, whether physical, mental or neurodevelopmental.
The DWP takes you off ESA (based on a Maximus report written by someone with crap spelling & grammar & no clear expertise in ASCs) and then doesn't provide any kind of expert help or support for people with ASCs to find a job. It really pisses me off.

Is anyone else in the same situation as me, or a similar one?

I'm not in the same situation, but you have my sympathy. I am on ESA, in the work-related-activity-group, and I have to do the Work Programme. This is supposed to help me to find a job, but the frequent appointments and constant messing around has been very stressful and has worsened my anxiety and depression.

Fortunately though they can't make me get a job, and as far as I can tell, this is far better than signing on.

P.S. Good luck with your appeal. I've had two appeal tribunals and won both of them. I got reassessed a few months ago and fortunately got awarded ESA without a tribunal this time.

I haven't even attempted to inquire about this system, such is my pessimism regarding it, but I wish you well with your appeal. "JSA" is a miserable experience nobody with autism and genuine related work difficulties should have to deal with, as it's the harshest department of any manner of search for work or financial assistance while doing so.
