New Exhibition Featuring Artists with Autism Debuts Tonight

Quote:
The featured artists are as diverse as their work. One is a Florida State student who taught herself Japanese, while another is a 12-year-old little girl who doesn't speak at all.

"What were hoping is that this exhibit will bring a lot of awareness to the community about individuals with autism, I think there are a lot of stereotypes or myths about what someone with Autism can do and what they cannot do," said Leatzow. "So we want to break down those stereotypes those myths. They are full of capabilities and as you can see all of these individuals here have amazing artistic capabilities."
