Playwright Dylan Ward wants to bust some misconceptions about autism

Quote:
Yes, actor/playwright Dylan Ward has autism but, no, he cannot solve complicated math problems in the blink of an eye.

One of the things Ward would like to do with his play, “My Life Through History (An Autistic Man’s Journey),” is bust misconceptions about the developmental disorder. Such as that math misconception, which probably stems from Dustin Hoffman’s Oscar-winning performance as a man with autism in “Rain Man.”
