What scares me about AS Partners

It doesn't bother me if they hate on Aspergers Husbands. These women are unhappy and looking to vent. The stupidity and ignorance in that site is astounding, but I'll discuss that later. I acknowledge AS can cause problems in a marriage, although I don't think they're correct in saying that no AS person can have a successful relationship ever.

What scares about them is that a lot of them have AS children and are likely to abuse or at least mistreat them.

Here is some of the advice given to someone with a potentially AS daughter. Keep in mind, this is the least bad of them:

Asperges/autism is a neurological and developmental DISorder. It's serious and it's profound. Has affected me just as profoundly. If she's on the spectrum you will have to find a way to be her mother. Give her routines. Keep things simple. Don't overload her with affectionate hugs and kisses. Just smile at her. Lots. Show her how to be in the world and do it as gently as you can. Expect NOTHING of her. Nothing. Show her rather than tell her. Mirror her bad behaviour back to her so she becomes aware what it looks like. Encourage her. Get her out and about and doing whatever she shows any interest in.

I think the person means well, but "expect nothing?" I think we're capable of least someone. Ignorant b*****s.

Mirror back bad behavior, I can see that backfiring.

So can I. I had to be told what I was doing wrong. I did NOT understand subtly.

Also, are there any men talking about their AS wives? It's called "AS Partners", not "AS Wives". What about homosexual couples?

Actually there have been some men in that forum posting about their wives. It's just not as many as the women.

Sorry, I can't post a proper link at this time because at the moment I can only access Wrong Planet through a proxy server. I'll fix this post when the problem is fixed. Anyway, I'm surprised that you don't know what site the OP is talking about since it's been spoken about a lot on here.
