Last I knew, people whose only diagnosis was autism didn't have voices in their heads telling them to do bad things.
Dissociative, perhaps?
Psychotic?
Autism is mentioned in the first sentence. Much later in the article its revealed that he hears voices. I've seen more sensitive reporting in the tabloids recently.
Well typically hearing voices is associated with psychotic illnesses like schizophrenia and and schizoaffective disorder.
Not sure I buy that he was having psychosis at the time however since he pre-meditated it and had specific motivations for why he wanted to do it. I certainly don't see him being considered insane at the time of the crime..and the article does not mention him having a psychotic disorder just OCD, Autism and potentially a personality disorder.
It says he claims to have heard voices but it doesn't seem very consistent with his claims of having pre-planned it himself.
