Boston children hospital found not liable in civil trial
A Suffolk county jury on thursday found that Boston childrens hospital did not commit malpractice in it's treatment of Justina Pelletier.
A Connecticut teenager who spent a year in a psychiatric ward after doctor's told state authorities they suspected the parents of medical abuse.
The state department of children and families took custody of the girl within days of her arrival at Childrens hospital in 2013 and minimized interactions and visits with her parents.
The jury reached it's verdict in less than six hours, ending a five week trial that centered on whether the Pelletier familiy was unfairly barred from there daughters treatment and whether that was detrimental to Justina's health,Justina is now 21.
It's a disturbing verdict and it's disturbing that something like this could happen at an esteemed place like Boston Childrens hospital, something is really wrong with America if this could happen at Boston Childrens of all places and that they could get away with it.
I would expect this from a state run institution but not an high class private hospital in Boston and that a jury would acquitt.

The sole issue was did BCH deprive the parents of there daughters care and did that do emotional damage.
