I wonder how this fits in with what Baron-Cohen is saying far more recently

things that make you go "hmmm". I would have said the same, looking at pictures is not the same as reading.

Did you know in Dick and Janes world, words are indeed thought of as pictures?

Some have said this "look say" method which attemps to leap frog phonics is actually the cause of dyslexia.

while Frith is not known to be hostile to phonics, her performance with Ruth combined with her status as some kind of authortity on reading seems to indicate a potential train wreck.

The first thing I find is not something to skim over, so I cant say anything about it yet, other than it indicates she is far more influential than I thought, as I thought she was more of a dyslexia specialist. Though there is a pattern of shills overstating Uta's influence on Autism research, so idk?
