Was the moral of this episode that aspergers symptoms are actually just caused by pessimism/cynicism?

No. I think the moral of the episode was that change is okay. The "ass burgers" was just a plot device to get to a bigger meaning. I think they were partially making fun of the idea that Asperger's Syndrome was caused by vaccines or cynicism, but that wasn't the main point.

I just loved how they made absolute fun of the actual name of it. Because aspergers does sound like 'ass burgers'. So people who have never heard of it most likley think "You have ass burgers? Whaaa?" when you tell them you've got 'aspergers"

I thought it would be more like the Tourettes episode. Boy was I wrong.

I just hope it doesn't mislead people into thinking they know everything about Aspergers because they saw it in a cartoon.

When I first saw that episode I'll a admit it made me a little uneasy at first. But I interpret it as just making fun of the media and pop culture's perception of AS and how some (mostly NTs) are using it as a card for politics and publicity.

I think it was just a parody of the "Vaccines cause Autism" theory.

I'm just glad they've deemed us important enough for a South Park episode. It was rather insulting that they hadn't before.

You shouldn't expect people to make an episode about us. Then again they didn't really. All it ended up being was a gag episode.
