Advance Planning for Autreat09 (transportation and flights)

Hi folks,

Autreat09, will be 29-June (afternoon) through 3-July (noon), which
places it against the US Independence Day weekend. For those of us
driving, this means a slight increase in traffic. In the case of
air travel, this will be a heavily travelled time period.

For this reason, it is best to consider purchase of airline tickets
well in advance. In particular, Southwest has a graduated pricing
structure which makes it advantageous to book early. Since
Southwest has the lowest fares (to Buffalo), this is worth
considering if you are flying out of a city served by them.

This of course presumes one has already decided to attend Autreat
this year, but many of us have.

Other airlines serving Buffalo may have more fluctuation in cost,
but it's best to be prepared, should prices drip. The costs of
international travel tend to fluctuate significantly.
