How long no sleep ? 5 days. Kept expecting to have some sort of hallucinations . After 3 days, made an appt with doc, guess was lucky . He saw me 2 days later . Was very strange . Nothing no hallucinations or anything . Just operated at , What I figured was about 50% brain power . Kinda mentally numb. Pretty sure , might have continued on without sleep.
Why: PTSD issues , I believe . Doctor did not offer an opinion. Just medication. And that was well into various lengths of Prescribed anti depressants trials, which did not work well.
Went back to healthy diet eventually and good supplements. Mainly a few types of Amino Acids to help with sleep .As needed.

Cold room, dark curtains, no phone.
Stress, caffeine, late screens.
Melatonin helped a bit. Zopiclone knocked me out but left brain fog.
About 40 hours. Felt awful.
Microsleeps, bad decisions, irritability.
Anxiety or too much screen time.
