At 5ft7-5ft8 I am facing discrimination because of my height.

Is limb lengthening surgery something I should consider perhaps?

Is it even still an option as a middle aged man?

My understanding is that it's typically used when the legs aren't of equal length, rather than as a voluntary cosmetic surgery because someone thinks they're too short.

Between the cost, how much it will hurt and how long it will take to heal, it's almost certainly not worth it.

That sounds like the height equivalent of anorexia.

There's probably a point at which treating his body dysmorphia might involve considering surgery, but I'd start with therapy.

6ft8 is an undesirable height if you ask me. Only useful if you want to be a basketball player

6ft8 is a far less desirable height than 6ft if you ask me. I could understand if he wanted to be 6ft2 or 3 though since those heights are arguably a bit better than 6'0.

Fewer than 100 cases per year funded by the NHS.
Are you receiving mental health treatment from the NHS?
That would be the place to start. Getting mental health professionals to approve.

Don't do that. That would be ridiculous. It's a dangerous surgery that you don't even need and you'll be suffering through a long and painful healing process and that's if you don't get complications. Don't potentially cause long term mobility issues for the sake of vanity. 5'7-8 is a perfectly normal, medium height for a man.

In the USA actresses would often get painful cosmetic surgery to look better for the camera.
The differences are easily visible if you watch content produced in the USA versus the UK.

The NHS web site warns of expensive complications resulting from such surgery.

I'd imagine you'd have to go to another country that has less restrictions on the medical profession about the Hippocratic Oath of doing no harm like whatever country that model or stipper went to so she could have some ribs removed to be more attractive.

Jamesy, you are about the same height as Tom Cruise. If he can manage so should you. Work at your mental attitude instead of complaining about you physical traits.

A lot of women only see Tom cruise on the big screen but have no idea how diminutive he looks physically in person…..

His height didn't stop him from dating Hollywood actresses.

I think James believes women care about his height a lot more than most actually do. I gotta give you credit though James because I usually see guys complaining online about something other than their height being too small for women  I get LOTS of emails in my spam folder about how to increase that size but I don't recall ever seeing anything about how to increase physical height.

When I'm wearing shorts and my scars are visible, I tell people I had myself shortened.

It's hundreds of thousands of dollars and possibly dying for a height difference of only one or two inches. And even if you could do more than that, it would mess up your bodily proportions because your legs would be way too long compared to the rest of your body.

Just date a short girl. Women don't need you to be 6' tall. They just need you to be taller than them.
