Well, if its any more insidious it might even be the dinner companies tarring the breakfast companies by this kind of false advertising.
I suppose haggis might be outside their collective control, not sure what else.

My experience is that eating a huge, heavy breakfast soon after waking up, is the best way to keep healthy and not to get fat. I used not to eat a breakfast at all, and I was overweight, and did not have such success in bodybuilding. When I started to eat a high-protein, non-sugar/non-fat breakfast (plain old fashioned oat meal and scrambled egg whites), I saw a radical change in my body for the better!
The quickest way to get fat, is to eat a big dinner & go to bed. First-hand experience there too! I don't eat anything for 4 hours ahead of bed.
Of course if a person feels ill doing that, it might take some gradual changing, or even not be possible if a person is just that way. Don't know....

Thanks, but I see that sort of thing being said all the time. How is it going to help me?

Maybe tea would work, since it's so weak. I've never tried green tea. Is there a particular green tea that's beneficial?
No, they're all good. But one thing you might want to do if you decide to start drinking it, is to purchase it from your local Asian market. Green tea purchased at the mainstream supermarket can be a bit pricey. Asians drink that stuff like water, and only today I bought a box of 100 tea bags for 3.99 at my local Asian market. It would have cost more than that for a box of only 16 bags at the supermarket. Green tea is very soothing to the digestive process, and acts as a mild stimulant. According to Chinese medicine, (which I am really into) what you have is called digestive stagnation. Adding honey and/or lemon and a pinch of dried ginger to your first cup should help with the nausea and stimulate your digestion in a positive way. Let us know if you try this and if it helps!
BTW, the best way to brew green tea is with water that has only been simmering and not boiling. Steep a cupful for about 2 minutes; any longer and it will taste slightly bitter. I usually brew a whole pot of tea with one tea bag for about three minutes. After my first cup, I am usually able to tolerate a little fruit.

I couldn't imagine NOT having breakfast-it's like sending a car out on a minimal amount of gas.At the very least,a fresh vegetable/fruit juice gives you a lot of nutrients.Since becoming raw,I have a either juices I make, fresh fruit,cacao-almond meal-agave-goji berry-almond milk pudding, grain bars with nuts and berries,or a combination of all of these. My dehydrator is arriving tomorrow so I am excited to dry up my first of bunch of all time snacky chews, with dates, nuts, seeds, grain, and fruit.

Just as bad as skipping any other meal; you end up binging at the next meal. Breakfast is still the worst of the meals to skip, because it follows 5-to-9 hours of sleeping/not-eating; all that time has put your body into a fasting-mode-state (HENCE 'break' 'fast' breakfast). You don't want to put your body in a further starvation state delaying your meal; cause then your body will try to be really efficient and store a lot of what you eat as fat!
You don't have to eat cereals for breakfast; though oatmeal is a great one.Japanese people, for example, will eat freshly cooked rice with a raw egg thrown on top (or mixed with soy sauce). That is definitely not a sugary breakfast.
I love cold pizza for breakfast. Omelettes are breakfast meal; though very bad for diets when cooked with lots of oil/butter.
Lately, like the people above mentioning they can't stomach much in the morning. I drink a cup of milk; and eat peanut butter off the spoon I scoop it with; very nice light breakfast. Sometimes, if I feel willing to handle it, I add a scoop of whey to the milk.

For people who have a normal appetite, yes. I don't, and a lot of slim (and fat) people don't. As I said in my other posts - I'm not hungry at all in the morning and even the afternoon. I don't delay eating until I'm starving. If I eat when I'm *not* hungry, I feel sick. My problem is that I hardly ever feel hungry, and if I try eating anything, including the plainest of food - I bring it back up.
Those examples you gave, are unfortunately the worst for me to digest - I can't digest milk or eggs. I can eat pizza in the late afternoon/evening, but *never* the morning. Also, those examples aren't particularly easy for the body to digest. Sugar is, and processed food happens to be easier for the body to digest, but not the healthiest.
That's fair enough - if you have a normal appetite and actually do starve yourself.
I'll give you an example - 2 days ago I had half a pizza and three pieces of garlic bread. That's it. That's over-eating for me because I felt stuffed afterwards, and the pizza was only a thin/italian base. Yesterday, I ate only an aero chocolate bar and drank a small bottle of "This water" which is watered down juice with sugar. I can't digest normal fruit juice, so I either drink that if I'm on the go, or I'll heavily water down normal fruit juice.
Today I haven't eaten anything, because I'm not hungry.
Funnily enough, my digestion used to be a lot worse. It's only because I've identified when I'm actually hungry that I managed to figure out why I felt so sick and had an aching stomach all day. I've noticed that I hardly ever am actually hungry. I'm not sure what to do about this, and would welcome any suggestions.
I mean, I've seen other people skip meals for sometimes 2-3 days at a time. I wonder if it's healthy and if some people are just different, or if it's an abnormality.
