I had double root canal treatment last month, once it's numbed up you shouldn't feel anything.
It can hurt a bit afterwards but with some decent painkillers it will be fine. Though if it holds on longer than a couple of days and the pain is so bad you can't sleep because of it, please get it checked again.

I had temporary fillers in both teeth because both had a serious inflammation in the root canal. The inflammation caused pus, but because of the fillers it couldn't leave the tooth which left me in excruciating pain. So if you feel a serious pain there that gets worse as days pass, please go back to your dentist.

Since your nerve gets completely removed from your tooth, apart from some sensitivity you should feel no pain.
