But in all seriousness, though, I find for attractive people, you just need to learn to focus on what YOU'RE doing, and just shut out anything in your mind besides what you're doing right that second.

So true.
I was painfully self-conscious growing up (now have the opposite problem, I-don't-give-a-sh!t-itis)
and my father would always say:
a. if you only realized how little attention people are paying to you as opposed to their own doings
and my mom:
b. Everyone else is too paranoid you're looking at/judging them to be looking at/judging

you.

Almost opposite, in a way, but I've found them both to be true, strangely. :)

Well for a while I started using resistance bands and 2 old weights for curls. Now I've joined a gym on a 3 month summer special so I'm not in for a long commitment. So far I think I can tell some difference.

Also, this is a small franchise of Anytime Fitness so it's not to big and loud. No music and usually not crowded. It's also 24 hour access so I often go at odd hours.

I find the gym scary for many of the same reasons other people have mentioned. I don't like the amount of people, the sounds and the embarassment of failure in front of others.

Yes, that would certainly do it - quite expensive though!

To lose weight you need to do 3 things:

1. keep a Food journal This is number 1 for a reason.
2. Exercise
3. eat a balanced diet.

When starting the journal don't change what you eat at first. you will need to identify patterns and habits.
