One thing different for me is, I have low arches in my feet. If I wear any sort of shoe with like, significant cushion inside, ala a running shoe, I get plantar fasciitis. So the shoes with more "support" are worse for me. So I wear like cheap Converse and my feet feel fine, then more "advanced" shoes they feel like crap.

Same with beds I guess.

:D

More power to you, OP. I think it's cool.

I wonder if I'll ever find a wife that'd sleep on the floor. This might make relationships awkward, not having a bed and all. Heh.

I married a guy with no bed. We have a futon mattress on the floor. I don't like it because I'm afraid of something crawling on me in the night, so I sleep on the couch a lot.

I have slept on the floor for years now and rather enjoy it! I hope it will be good for my back and I'm not interested in owning a bed because of my minimalistic lifestyle. It's so easy to move out with no furniture.

:-) I slept on the floor for a few years when I was about 12-15.

My bed broke in the middle so that it couldn't be used any more to sleep on, and my parents were too lazy to fix it & too cheap to get another one ; so I just slept on the floor instead.

They took the piss out of me for it, but it honestly wasn't bad.
As you say, it gave me plenty of room.

I can't sleep on the floor any more. It's too uncomfortable. Maybe I'm getting old.
