I hate most toothpaste taste and always have. But here's the thing: ORAL BACTERIA AFFECT YOUR HEART. Look it up. You need to keep that stuff in check.Find yourself a way to floss and brush after every meal, upon waking, before retiring for the night. Or approximately so. Put travel-size toothpaste and brush in your pocket. Want some fun? Get Magic Mud - activated carbon, smectite clay, and a few other goodies. Brush with it. Safe for children, but you have to brush the black off your tongue. Which brings up another point: Scrape and/or brush that tongue too! Seriously, buy several tooth brushes and put them everywhere; with the forks, in the fridge, in your car, by the TV remote, in the shower, ...

Same here. I can put up with bubblegum flavored kids stuff, so that's what I use for both mouthwash and toothpaste. Given all the candy flavored lip glossed marketed to fully grown women, I really don't get why I'm expected to shift to stinging burning medicinal mint flavored stuff just because I'm an adult.

My sensory issues are such that I have to brush my teeth at least once a day, I can't stand the feel of what someone else called fuzzy teeth.

The kid flavored stuff doesn't clean adult sized teeth near as well, or at least it didn't with mine when I tried it once.

Tbh brushing one's teeth, along with teeth hygiene in general, feels very pointless.

There's been many periods in my life where I NEVER brushed my teeth, but in recent times it is now a permanent addition to my daily hygiene, and I do so at least 2-3 times a day. I've also recently added in mouthwash. However, it appears the damage has been done.

Despite consistent, quality teeth-brushing, along with eating an extremely healthy diet high in all necessary nutrients (i.e. no foods or drinks that are bad for teeth such as soft drink, junk food, etc.), my teeth nor gums don't appear to have improved whatsoever.

Considering the way my gums look, red and unhealthy, I'm pretty sure I have a very mild case of gingivitis that I'm keeping at bay.

Otherwise, it feels like brushing my teeth is useless, and all it's doing is preventing my teeth from getting worse, rather than making them BETTER.

My teeth are also quite crooked due to an accident as a kid.

Every time I went to the dentist as a kid, they never did anything about it. The last time I went, they said my teeth are 'mildly damaged' and to go back home and brush them until they 'improve'. Well, they never did improve, even though it's been years, and they never called back like they said they would.

I used to have the exact same problem, but it's in your best interest to try and find some time to do it.

Neglecting to take care of your teeth can be linked to other negative aspects, such as heart disease.

I just got my first root canal, after going to the dentist for the first time since the Clinton Administration

I have this problem too, so I leave my toothbrush and toothpaste on the kitchen counter next to the dog's food. I will never forget to feed the dog breakfast because he gets up and reminds me. So, I brush my teeth while he's eating breakfast.

I thought I was the only one with this problem. My teeth are ruined because of that, and not going to the dentist much because of dentist phobia.
It's a long term problem as psychiatric records c 1981 mention poor dental hygiene.
