I have very high muscle tone for a female.
I've never been able to develop abs, though, no matter how many crunches I did.

As a woman, you won't have six-pack abs unless you drop below 16% body fat. It doesn't matter how much muscle you have if you carry more fat than that. Adriana Lima at her leanest was 20% body fat, for comparison.

I have to say it even though it's really predictable. If your body is female and you're not, you might contemplate making that not the case, a la gender transition. Transmen can get muscular same as cis men. Just sayin'.

I don't consider her to be particularly large, definitely not manly. My abs weren't that far off from that (they were basically that defined, but not that large) just from doing various types of crunches. I stopped because it looked strange.

I don't believe that level of musculature is that hard to achieve.

No, it's really not.

I might not be able to lift as much as her, and maybe it's just the angle of the shot, but my biceps/triceps/shoulders are already that size when tensed/pumped, being a teen who's worked out for just one year. Yeah, it might sound silly for me to say that as I'm a male and have a natural advantage, but I would expect the world crossfit women's champion to have more arm strength than a casual 17 year old lifter. Her forearms are a bit stronger though...

Even if it's just the lighting/angle, I'd probably be able to look like that by age 19/20, and she looks to me to be at least 30.

For comparion, the women's bodybuilding champion:

And I agree with the poster above. Do you just mean to say you as a woman wish you could build muscle as easily and quickly as males, or do you actually want to BE a male? If so, it would be far cheaper and less-time consuming to begin your transition to male than to work out as a female for many years and years. Would you rather spend 5 years to get the strength it would take you maybe 2.5 years to get as a male?

A friend of mine from high school stands below 5' if I remember correctly & I've seen her post photos of lifting some pretty unbelievable sums. Like... probably almost two of me on that bar (I'm ~5'9" or something & about 120 pounds).
