I don't much care for American Football. And the SuperBowl is ridiculous. Talk about unwarranted pomp and ceremony. And the money people spend to be there. It baffles me. Soccer is much more fluid and pleasant to watch. The worst, though, has to be hockey. I can't tell if it's hockey or fighting with skates on. And it's way too violent.

Anyway, I just watched Lady Gaga sing the anthem. She did a good job.

I think Boxing is the worst, it can be very bloody.

...I never did get to go to that " Fan Village " thing the NFL put down on the Embarcadero - To-day , when I tried to go , the trolley cars that go there appeared to have been shut down entirely ! They didn't exactly want the locals there very much , I suppose .

Here in Denver, much of the RTD (public transit) got shut down after the game. I left the bar I was at around 11:30 PM and finally made it to my house at a quarter to two AM after taking a taxi>walk>train>taxi>walk some more to my door.

Ah, but we churlish Americans love all the pomp and extravagance that is the Super Bowl. :D

World Cup probably just as bad. I agree though people go crazy over sports and spend lots of money, going to game, buying team clothes, hats, etc. both soccor and football are just people moving a ball back and forth a field.
Hockey is the same but on ice.

At least Baseball makes sense to me somewhat. I still don't understand all of it but I get enough to watch it occasionally. Last game I went to however was like 6 hour:/ how do people find the time for all that i dont know

It's true....the Stanley Cup playoffs in hockey don't have the pomp and circumstance of the Super Bowl.

It is a bribery and embezzlement scheme.

A big reason for the all the extras is the fact that all other American pro sports have championship series, not just one game.

It'd be a little nuts to do potentially 7 Super Bowls over a week and a half period of time.

Sports is ok, basketball, football & baseball are ok. I played baseball in school, I played softball too, I was good at baseball, I loved it when I hit a home run, I loved playing baseball. When I was on a school field trip at the park with my class, we played baseball, I hit a home run & I was running home, I fell down & got all muddy :(
