Well sorry to ruin your expectations but it's likely (other than postural habits that might need ... other abdominal muscles that are more related to breathing) that getting bigger abs would thicken your stomach over all , doing stuff with the muscles underneath doesn't seem ( scientifically speaking) toreduce the fat layer on top....

want an example? britney spears in 98 and in 2k ( i think i'm just quoting stuff ) after lots of abdominal workouts achieved the big milestone of having maybe an extra inch of muscle pushing out her well by that time a belly out.

If you exert a muscle you burn energy. Therefore by exerting muscle such as holding stomach abs tight you would burn calories and therefore lose weight and this along with tighter muscle tone results in a reduction of size.

I don't know if it's because I'm an Aspie, but my newfound single-minded devotion to dieting and exercizing is slowly flattening my belly. I honestly never knew I had this level of control over my physique -- I have bad genes in that department, so I just considered it a foregone conclusion that I'd never be thin. But I've lost about 13 pounds so far, and the rate of weight loss is quite high. I hit the treadmill pretty hard, but otherwise I just do a few free-weight exercises and crunches, and watch my calorie and fat intake, and the results are very encouraging!

I have a feeling I do the forehead thing without realising it :(
In pictures I look like I'm disgusted or squinting with lines and wrinkles :(
Maybe AS is why nobody else I know seems to do that
